In this process, wind turbine manufacturers have made their own abilities to ensure the enterprise's standing. However, the previous production of wind turbines, due to the end of the five-year warranty is about to face the test of independent operation.
It is understood that this year there will be a large number of wind turbines installed around 2008 to end the warranty period, wind farm operation and maintenance has become the most difficult problem facing wind farm developers and operators.
The ultimate goal of wind power development is to pursue the cost of power generation in the 20-year life cycle of wind turbines, which can guarantee the long-term and sustainable development of wind power industry in China. While striving to improve the quality of wind turbines, the host enterprises should maintain the operation of wind turbines for a long life cycle and ensure their maximum efficiency output. The business model of wind farm operation and maintenance will become a rigid demand for continuous development and improvement in the future.
The purchase price of spare parts is the most worrying
After the centralized development of wind power in 2008, the development of wind power is slowing down. Fan manufacturer should lay off maintenance personnel and after-sales service personnel on a large scale under downward pressure, resulting in insufficient manpower for wind farm maintenance.
Wang Chengcheng, director of the Datang Xinjiang Toxon Wind Farm, told reporters: "Don't say that the guaranteed period for the output of fans is insufficient, even in the normal maintenance operation, the maintenance personnel provided by the main fan plant are insufficient. At present, the installed capacity of our wind farm has reached 150,000, which is staffed with 6 people according to the requirements, and 5 people are actually in place, including a project manager. The project manager has several jobs and takes into account many projects. The actual daily maintenance site can only guarantee four people, and the maintenance force is weak in personnel. It is understood that in the process of wind power explosive growth, the guaranteed time of each wind farm at the same time is very close to that of the same batch of wind turbines.
"Due to the shortage of after-sales and technical personnel, a large number of fans with a guarantee period at the same time will have a great impact on the normal operation of the wind farm." Wang Jiancheng expressed his concern to reporters.
Many wind farms try to do maintenance work by themselves when considering reducing operation and maintenance costs. However, the high purchase price of spare parts makes them hesitate. "The most difficult problem in the after-sales service of the warranty period is the purchase of spare parts. There is a big gap between the purchase price of wind farm and the internal price provided by wind turbine manufacturer. This makes efforts to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance of wind farms futile. At the same time, the storage of spare parts and the backlog of funds will bring pressure to the self-operation of wind farms.
Reasonable Planning Can Reduce Operational and Maintenance Costs
It is understood that at present, about 80% of wind farms in China are still in the guarantee period, and most of the operation and maintenance work is still in the charge of the main engine factory. However, the maintenance needs of a large number of guaranteed fans are urgent. At present, many modes exist in the operation and maintenance market, such as continuous maintenance by the main engine factory, self-maintenance of the wind farm, and handing over to professional operation and maintenance companies.
"As a main engine factory, it is our duty-bound business to supply spare parts," Ma You, Gemeihao's Director of Project and Services in China, told reporters. For the price of spare parts for fan supply, it is different from the situation that the cost of general spare parts with large market holdings is lower. According to the existing quantity of fans in our country, there is a big gap between the mechanical parts designed by the main engine factory and the general spare parts for industrial control. In addition, in order to ensure the high reliability of spare parts, the main fan design and manufacture of parts suppliers have strict quality standards.
The damage rate of high reliability spare parts is relatively low, so as a whole, spare parts purchasing volume is very small, it is difficult to get a very favorable price from spare parts suppliers. This is the main reason for the relatively high price of spare parts. Ma You stressed to reporters that wind farm operation and maintenance is not only simple mechanical maintenance, but also to ensure the availability of the owner's wind farm, which requires the operation and maintenance team to put forward an accurate and predictable operation and maintenance plan, which includes a series of possible problems of the fan, the storage of corresponding spare parts and other work. Many owners do not understand this situation, but from the advanced experience of foreign countries, many situations in the operation of wind farms can be predicted. Operating and maintaining parties are summing up the spare parts plans of all their wind farms to form a very large purchasing list. The overall purchasing volume is large, and the purchasing cost will be low.
At present, because China's wind power industry has only developed for 10 years, many domestic wind farms have not yet grasped the judgement of the phased operation status of wind turbines. If problems arise, measures should be taken to reduce the cost of spare parts procurement and maintenance, which will affect the efficiency of power generation. If planned well, reducing the procurement cost and delivery cycle of spare parts will reduce the operation and maintenance cost as a whole.
Life Cycle Electricity Cost Need to be Clear

The traditional operation and maintenance thought of "what's wrong and what's missing" will leave hidden dangers in the operation of wind farms.
Shi Pengfei, deputy director of the Wind Energy Professional Committee of China Renewable Energy Society, told reporters: "Wind turbines, we call them fatigue testing machines, after 10 years, problems will continue to arise, quality assurance can not be guaranteed. The current system does not assess the benefits of the entire life cycle, and it is currently in a short period of time.
